It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Come on now, sing with me!

I love Christmas… in fact, my parents still call me their Christmas girl because I’m still like an excitable little kid during the month of December!

The snow has fallen here and some mornings when I look out my front window, I can’t help but be amazed by the glittering snow on the ground.

As I deck the halls and sing my carols, I’m also rounding up some of our favourite picture books! Today, I thought I would share our list of December picture books with you! Yes… pretty much all of them are Christmas themed… I just can’t help myself!

Picture books are a significant part of our homeschool curriculum. Books are a wonderful way to teach children and introduce new concepts. Here is our December picture books list.

Whether you purchase these books from your local bookstore, or borrow them from the library, I’ve included a handy download at the end of this post for your convenience. Simply print out the list and check each book off as you buy / borrow and read them!

DECEMBER PICTURE BOOKS

Reading high quality children’s books is a wonderful way to teach your children. Also, if you discover a book that your child enjoys, you could always extend the book by doing some literacy-based planning around the book.

Now that I’ve shared our December picture books list, do you have any favourite books that you’re reading in December? Tell us all about them!
